Dear Friends,

The Cultural Heritage Association of Nicosia in cooperation with Larnaca Municipality is organizing the 6th Mediterranean Festival of Folklore Dance in Larnaca, Cyprus from -16 -21 of September, 2011.

Twenty (20) groups from countries of the Mediterranean and five (5) from Cyprus will be chosen to participate in the Festival.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

• All the groups of folklore dance from the Mediterranean countries may participate. The Mediterranean Countries are the following: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Monaco, Romania, Serbia Montenegro, Slovenia, Spain, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey,.Hungary ,Libano Austria
• WE ARE GOING TO ACCEPT FOLKLORE DANCE GROUPS FROM ANY WHERE AS WE WANT TO GIVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO THE WHOLE WORD TO COME AT OUR FESTIVAL SO PLEASE INFORM YOUR FRIENDS TO GET IN CONTACT WITH US
• The organizer is not responsible for providing visas to foreign nationals (outside the EU) that will need them.
• Maximum group members twenty four ( 24 ), including musicians .(Please note music should be live performance not CD) – If groups like to bring more people, it is permitted. They would have to pay 80 Euros per person, per night. This sum includes accommodation, in 4 beds rooms or flats, 3 meals per day and internal transportation to the venues and hotels. Free entrance – to venues and archaeological museums. Whoever would like to book single or double room has to pay the difference but on our special hotel price offers.
• 4 performances: One of 5 ΄ , one of 10 ΄ and one of 15 ΄ minutes. The group should also be prepared for a full performance of 60 ΄ minutes in case it should be needed. The 10 ΄ minute programs should be different for 4 performances.
• Groups interested in participating must send a DVD or VHS of their work, along with a history of their group and CV's of the members until the 1 st of March 2011 to the following address : 17 Elia Venezi str, Engomi 2401, Nicosia, CYPRUS
• The organizers have the right to cancel or move the Festival to another time if there is not enough participation according to the set criteria.
• If groups decide to come earlier or stay in Cyprus more days, for any reason, they must pay for their accommodation as mentioned above.

Participating Group Selection Committee:

The participating groups will be selected by a committee consisting of one member from the Cyprus Tourism Organization , one from the Cultural Services of the Larnaca Municipality, a member from the Embassy of each country that will show an interest in participating and one member from the Cultural Heritage Association www.reamadellaioannidou.com email: politistikos@reamadellaioannidou.com

• Music & song
• Technique of execution

The Organizing Committee Offers:

• Accommodation in Hotel Apartments 4 persons or more, and Meals for Four (5) Days .
• Internal Transportation

Transport to and from Cyprus is the responsibility of the group. The Organizing Committee does not undertake this expense.

Exhibits of Products and/or Photography

• The chosen groups will have the right to exhibit and sell products of their country that reflect their tradition .
• There will be space for the exhibit of Photography.
• Groups can buy memorabilia items from the festival in low prices such as T-shirts-cups-caps-bags-key rings.
